The bar at Saltine ...

The bar at Saltine has a happy hour. I met a group of colleagues who were there for a big conference we held at the hotel. Happy hour must have just ended. I ordered whiskey and pointed to a bottle on the shelf. The bartender pulled the bottle down and showed it to me. He then poured me the hotel standard 1oz pour. When we got the bill we noticed that one ounce whiskey was $125! We complained to the manager. She explained that since I ordered it I have to pay for it. Buyer beware! Better ask for the price of their drinks before you order anything from their bar. Sneaky

We just finished a ...

We just finished a 3 day conference at the Hilton Norfolk The Main. The conference was excellent and beyond. The support from the hotel (conference rooms, food, etc) was also excellent. The food quality, quantity, presentation was excellent and it looked like everyone could find lots of different options to enjoy. The support people around the food service areas were polite and very efficient. My room was very comfortable, the bathroom was quite large and everything you could possibly need in a hotel room was provided. The front desk people were very helpful and accommodating. All in all it was a great conference at a great hotel.
