Overall, a nice overnight at a quality hotel! Staff was very accommodating. The breakfast buffet was above average. My room had a nice view of the waterfront. If I find myself in Norfolk Virginia, I'd stay here again.

The views and food here were amazing! We got the firecracker shrimp and the pretzel and they were delicious. There was a private party outside so we couldn't sit out there but the views looked beautiful. Unfortunately, service is very slow here. Next time, we'll sit at the bar.

The service and variety of indulgences here is easily the best in Hampton Roads. It is such a wonderful all-around experience. First, be seated by the angelic Christian. Then, look for the impressive and highly-dedicated wait-staff (John, Zara, Liz, Jared, and more) to hustle to keep your table happy and ensure only blissful dining encounters. Stand by for outstanding food, especially their salads, seafood, and legendary weekend buffets. Later, at the bar, look for the top-notch bartenders Shannon, Ryan, Phil, Nicholas, Abigail, Nacho, Chris (the Cicerone), and more. They are knowledgeable, attentive, respectful, and treat a person like family. Their selection of craft beer is their signature offering, and it's second to none. The Grain has proven itself as the Hampton Roads center of gravity for leisure, food, and an overall positive day of sun or night of fun. And Chris, Kaylin, and the other execs run this place like a well-oiled machine.
