Wait time was delayed due to a power outage,.. no music felt like a quiet library w light socializing. Burger was burnt fries were over seasoned n soggy.. friends foods were also average..

My family and I loved the hotel and access to all the restaurants. However, I called before booking the hotel, to confirm that the lounge was opened and fully operational. After the employee checked with management, he stated that "Yes" the lounge was open and fully operational. Well guess what, I get there to check-in and inquire about the lounge, and was told that the lounge was open but only for self-service snacks. "We have a staff shortage" says the front-desk staff, which I thought was a big lie. I did call only a few days before checking in. This was very disappointing because I specifically brought my family there, so they can experience the same wonderful experience I had at a previous Hilton Hotel. The lounge was closed on Sunday until late in the day, in which case most people had now checked out.

For 500.00 a night you would think they would be more accommodating.

The location is great and the employees in the lobby were always polite and helpful. The views from my hotel were beautiful. I was on the 20th floor, 15 floors above the “rooftop” bar…I’m not sure why this is considered rooftop but I’ll leave that alone…when I come to a hotel I do expect to be able to sleep. Keeping a very loud bar and music going until 1am shows to me that they do not agree. I had to always eat off site as the restaurants were always full with non-guests which was a little irritating though fine. If I was in the lobby or not wanting to sleep in my room it was fine, if not…no thanks. Wouldn’t stay again.

Very nice hotel with a solid selection of dining and bars. Grain, on the rooftop, is a breath of fresh air for Norfolk. Nothing like it in Portsmouth, Norfolk, or Chesapeake. The hotel’s decor is also well done. Where they lose points is the rooms. Beds are comfortable, but everything else is basic. Can’t say I had the greatest check in experience either. I opened to door to “my room” only to find it occupied. Front desk was apologetic and offered to upgrade me to a river view room. Great! Downside is I went from the 16th floor to the 10th floor (requested a high floor when booking) and was put right above the outdoor portion of Grain so all those folks could see into my room with blinds open and I got to hear conversation and music until it closed. No bueno.
