There are a LOT of 5 star reviews which improve the overall rating. It depends on what you value as important. Is it restaurants and location? View? Then this place is for you. Do you value quiet and updated furnishings? Then it probably isn't. Read the reviews. The 5 stars are accurate, but the 1 star reviews are not wrong either.

The Grain was great and my waitress Addie was amazing! She was prompt, friendly, and patient! I didn’t like that at some point we needed to leave because there was becoming a wait outside for a table and we weren’t finished. However, I understand that those are the rules are The Grain. Addie explained we were welcome to finish drinking outside but my guess and I just left once finished.

The first time we went to the Grain was the Saturday before Mother's day and the food was absolutely scrumptious! There was a large variety and it had a great taste. The ambiance was nice and the view was picturesque. Because of the experience we returned for Father's day with the men and the ambiance and view were the same. However, the food was not good and they didn't have much. We found out the weekend of Mother's day, they had a special brunch and Father's day was the usual. Of course, the cost was less for Father's day, $28.95, but it wasn't even worth that amount. They did have a taco and omelet station, fruit, bacon, toss salad, spinach quiche, gumbo, but were running out of food because they put out sub sandwiches. We were highly disappointed this time and although we will probably return again, it won't be for the usual brunch.

We are currently staying in room 1001. The room itself is beautiful and the view is wonderful; however, the noise from the air conditioning unit has been extremely disruptive. Each time the blower turns on, it makes a loud rattling noise right beside the bed, making it very difficult to sleep. We are not sure if there may be an issue with the unit, but unfortunately we have not been able to rest because of the constant noise.It does not help of course that there is music outside .I wish things like these would be on Hotel website or to kindly offer people rooms on opposite side of the Hotel .The amount you pay for a night you should be able to rest.

It’s a nice hotel, but the elevators and stairs are like a trap when there is any large number of people… remember this is a conference center…. So you are either gonna be waiting 30 min for an elevator or huffing and puffing up 20 flights of stairs packed in with your fellow conference goers. One elevator was out of service along with multiple escalators. Up a flights of stairs to go down an escalator to get on an elevator just to get to your room. Won’t be staying here again, the Marriott across the street seems better.
